Great game that pays homage to both specific DOS games and the era in general.

However, there are a few issues with the DOS shareware version.

You may want to include a README for the DOS version including basic sysreqs etc.

The game is apparently failing to create \CATS\STEAM\A.TXT upon loading - you may want to remove this.

The game errors out (almost always) during the opening title sequence when attempting to play a digital sample when used with a SoundBlaster 1.x/2.0 (sbtype = sb1/sb2), at least in all current DOSBox versions/distros (74-3, SVN, Staging, X) ; SoundBlaster Pro and newer have no issues (sbtype = sbpro1/ sbpro2/sb16).

Thank you very much for the feedback! I went ahead and fixed those issues and uploaded an update. SB1 & SB2 is disabled for now. I'll look into it in the future, whether it's something with my sound files or the Allegro library. I suspect the latter.

Hello, I played the demo on steam and really liked the music that played in-game and was wondering if it happened to be uploaded anywhere or if you planned on releasing maybe a soundtrack alongside the full release? I'd love to be able to listen to the music outside of the game. (The game is very well made as well, it made me realize how bad I actually am at puzzles but I still enjoyed it)

Hi! Thank you so much! I think I will release the soundtrack separately with the full version later this year. You can actually listen to the MIDI files in the demo version as well, they are in the "/game/music" folder, although they will definitely sound different under Windows media player compared to DOSBox.

Tried the new (and very generous) demo out yesterday and absolutely adore it. Will continue to recommend this to all that I can. Looking forward to the full release!

Asking out of curiousity: "Cats, gatos, chats, Katzen, 猫, γάτες & kediler" - does it mean that the final game will have different language versions? The end made me particularly curious, because I'm learning Turkish.

Meowdy! I'm not sure. I just thought I'd look up how it's written in different languages for fun. It's certainly possible to localize the texts if someone was able to provide the translations. I think I listed Turkish there because I remembered the cat documentary I saw a few years back about stray cats in Istanbul ("Kedi")

Also I have some feedback about the game, so if you’re interested to hear it, where I can send it?

If anyone is stuck on levels 8 and 9 here's how to do it:

Level 8:

Level 9:

Ah, interesting! That's a different solution for level 9 than I had designed but I suspected there could be more solutions based on how much room there is to maneuver. My solution relied on knocking the green ball off the table. I'll see if I keep it or tweak it.

l know but l thought that forcing the cat to go 180 degrees back was much easier than using the actual purpose of the green ball.

Woah dude, l thought you would never appear again after city clickers. Really cool game! Hope you the best :)
